The John Roach Juvenile Detention Center of Collin County is otherwise known as the County Residential Center (CRC). At the CRC, McKinney ISD provides educational services to both pre and post adjudicated youth who have broken the law. CRC is located at 4700 Community Avenue. The program serves youth from age 10 until a student's 18th birthday. McKinney staff work directly with the Collin County Juvenile Probation staff to offer students educational and counseling services as deemed appropriate. Students placed at CRC reside at that facility until released by the judge and my be enrolled at JJAEP or may return to the student's home campus depending on the offense and the determination of the court. The program is divided into two different educational areas, pre-adjudicated and long-term lockup.
